My unusual sighting

Between 2 am and 4 am, Tuesday, January 17th, 2007 I saw lights coming down from the sky. They were perfectly round, very, very large (can't do better than huge). There were approximately 8 of them and then multiplied to about 10-12 of them. They didn't disappear, but they did multiply. I didn't get to see them multiply because I kept trying to go back to sleep and then kept getting up to see if they were still there.
It looked as though an enormous flashlight was pointed downward.
They stayed completely still the two hours I watched them.
Their light, which was almost yellow but not quite, did not touch the ground.
There was no moon.
There were clouds, which moved slowly.
They were positioned in a circular pattern around the house.
I never went outside. If there is a next time. ... I will.
It felt like an introduction -- something to come.
Question: Was the object hovered over your house? I've heard of people around Aztec seeing this kind of thing before.
Answer: They were around my house - but at a distance -- in a rough circle - past 550 on the one on the left. I didn't go outside - since the light did not touch the ground, they could have been over the house too. Next time, I'll go outside. This was my first experience. It was overwhelming.
Question: Were the lights way up in the sky?
Answer: The light originated high up and came down in a perfect column.
Question: Did you see any kind of vehicle the lights were a part of?
Answer: No vehicles.
Question: Any sounds?
Answer: No noise.
Question: After 4am did you see the lights leave or blink off?
Answer: No blinking - ever. At 4 am I had to go to sleep.
Question: So the lights were still around your house when you went to sleep?
Answer: Yes.
