Story #14

Bernadette
Dulce, New Mexico 2001

Bernadette: It was within this past year (2001) I was at my mom’s house, visiting with her. We were sitting down having a conversation. We kept hearing a noise like a plow or a grader, some kind of machinery. We could hear it and then it would fade away. It wasn’t very loud but you could notice it, sort of like a TV turned on very low, we could hear it come and go. I got up and started looking out the windows. I asked where was the grader or the tractor, or was anybody plowing around because the noise kept coming and going. My mom said that she always hears that noise because she’s at home most of the time. The noise comes and goes. She said it is not some noise on top, its underground. We went around the whole trailer. I looked towards all the neighbors but there weren’t any neighbors around because everybody was working.
I said to my mom that I had asked one of my friends in Taos about it. I said we always hear about the noise in Taos. The friends in Taos said they really couldn’t talk about the noise. I said that I wanted to see if the same noise I heard at my mom’s was what you were hearing, if it was similar. They said they didn’t hear about it and didn’t know anything about it.
We didn’t see anything in the sky or anything around the mobile but we could hear it.
Question: Is your mom’s house on the west end (of Dulce)?
Bernadette: Yes, on the west end.
Question: Do you think they’re tunneling?
Bernadette: I don’t know.
